And We're Off!

Hurricane season '07 is here! Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole year since the last hurricane season started. Seems like it's only been about 49 weeks.

With Subtropical Storm Andrea's arrival, many people are pointing to her as just another example of the disastrous effects of global warming caused by human interference. Some scientists will agree, while others will lie and distort, but I think the single culprit here is quite obvious.

On August 8, 2005, George Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act of 2005. With the passage of this bill, Bush attempted to help out all of his oil buddies. By moving Daylight Savings Time up by 3 weeks, the extra hour of sunlight hitting the ocean was bound to move the hurricane season forward.

Oil and gas prices are sure to follow suit during Bush's extension of the hurricane season. As we look forward to $5 a gallon gas this summer, maybe Bush can look forward to yet another charge added to the lawsuits against him.
